Apu lvn-bsn fall 2017

Hello, I submitted my application for Fall cohort this year. My APU representative told me that Nursing Department will not start the review process of the applicants until May cohort starts. It's already the middle of May and still hasn't heard anything from them. I'm just wondering if any of you are in the situation as I am?

I just received a call from admissions today that my application was sent to admissions for review!í ½í¸± I'm so excited, scared, excited, scared lolí ½í¸ would you still happen to have the study guide that was provided to you? Or the book you used? I will gladly purchase the book from you. My email is [email protected]

What campus are you applying to? The competency exam is very easy, it really is just basic LVN skills. Don't over think it. They will email the study guide to you; I'm not sure what I did with mine if I find out I'll email it to you.

The Monrovia campus. Can you please tell me about the skills portion of the exam? What exactly do they test you on? I've only ever worked in manage care and I'm afraid my nursing skills are rusty...

The skills was TB injection, V/S, ear and eye drops. I can't remember the questions and I no longer have the study guide but I promise it was doable...

Hi. Can those of you who were accepted share your GPA if you feel comfortable? I am still working on a few prereqs through APU UC and I want an idea of how competitive I am. Thanks!

@kikabugg I just had my interview yesterday for the LVN to BSN program. I was told I did not need to take a competency exam but rather a pharmacology and skills exam. Do you know how I can study for the pharmacology exam?

I will be applying for the program soon! I am worried about the schedule! Can anybody provide me with what their schedule is like??

I did not have that option, so I'm not sure. They should give you a study guide.

Which campus are you applying to? For IE Campus, the first semester is 2 days a week Wednesday and Thursday but of course that could change.

I am applying for the IE campus. What are the hours for the 2 days a week?? Is it an 8 to 5 type thing or shorter?

IE Campus, Wednesday is 8 -1 or a little longer and Thursday is 8 or 9 to 5

Hello,

I am almost done with second semester. Schedule on the first semester depends on how many classes you are taking. I never took nutrition and pharmacology test so I took four classes, which was a good review and I actually learned new things. So here is my schedule so far.

First Semester:

Tuesdays (Nutrition from 9-11 am & Pharmacology from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm)

Thursdays (Professional Concepts of Nursing 8am - 11 pm and Health Assessment from 12am-6 pm)

Second Semester:

Clinicals - Group A Mondays 6:30 am -6:30 am & Group B Fridays 6:30 am -6:30 am) this might change.

Wednesdays (Pathophysiology 9am-12pm and Med-Surg 1pm-6pm)
