I have submitted my application as of 2/4 for the Inland Empire campus. My stats are: Science GPA: 3.85, non-science GPA: 3.78, Cumulative GPA: 3.91. I am alumni of APU which may affect how fast my application is processed. I have many hours of volunteer experience at a non-profit organization that provided various services to families in need. I work for an ambulance service part-time and work another full-time job in a non-patient care position at a healthcare organization doing technology. I recently accepted a position at a county hospital working full-time hours as a float pool EMT helping nurses on the nursing units with various bedside duties and helping other departments doing other duties. I am 34 years young and have three children, so lots of life experience, haha. I hope to hear from you all soon!
Hello @gdunn86 ! I just turned in my application for the San Diego campus Summer 2022. I applied back in 2018 and was accepted into the program for the Fall of 2019 but had to give up my spot because we’re military and we received orders to move... so now I’m reapplying because we’re going back home to SD! Im 31 and we have 4 kids so I’m right there with you with life experience haha!
Hey @futrnurseam...4 kids!? No wonder you're up so late; peace and quite, LOL....Same here. I am glad someone found my thread! I thought it may have been lost among the many similar posts on this website. Thank you for sharing. That is a bummer you had to give up your spot but it was for an awesome cause. What branch of the military are you in? I was thinking of commissioning into the Navy to serve and help pay for school. I'm sure you will be accepted again this time around. Good luck brother/sister!
Yes, 4! I know I still have a hard time believing the words coming out of my mouth when I say that. I was really heartbroken when I had to do that but I’m so glad I can reapply I just want to start school already! My husband is in the Marine Corps, I’m not in the service. I did think about joining the Navy nurse corps but decided only one of us should be in. I know they have age limits and dependent limits so if you’re really interested in that you should start talking to a recruiter as soon as you’re accepted. They do waivers for that stuff all the time so if that’s what you really want then go for it! I’m praying I get accepted again, good luck to you too! Have you gotten an email yet telling you your application is complete?
LOL...Yeahhh, it is okay, you had what it took to get in previously, so why not now? At least you had a legitimate reason to retract your application, though. Ohh I see. Yeah, the age limits for medical MOSs are really high LOL, so no worries there. I certainly will speak to a recruiter when I get that acceptance letter! I did not get an email when my application was submitted, but it shows 100% complete, and all of my recommendation letters were received. I only got an email when my transcript was reviewed, so they may not send an email when you submit the application.

Hi thank you!! I actually ended up getting offered a spot into Spring 2022 so I won't be seeing you ? but there are two lovely ladies who were also in Summer '22 with me. I hope you make it through, wishing you all the best of luck! ?
