APU ELM Summer 2019

Published

Hey all, just wondering who else plans on applying to this upcoming cycle since the deadline is coming up. I actually applied to the spring term, interviewed, but did not get accepted. Hopefully it works out this time :)

@HopefulinIE

Thank you for your feedback!

Wow... I am sorry to hear that, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Straight As and CNA license... and you were not selected!

Everything happens for the reason! I hope everything will work out well for you!

@Luvchrys

This is for the Inland Empire campus. Yeah, I'm planning to reapply but will also apply to other nursing schools now. I only applied to APU this term because it was/is my first choice...

@member64

Thanks for the affirmation! I should mention that my undergrad GPA when I was young and foolish was below 3.0. However, I did earn a Master's in another (non-healthcare) field with a 3.54 GPA. I thought my graduate GPA would make up for my terrible undergrad but I guess not.

Thanks for getting back to me I just noticed your screen name literally says IE. Lol anyways again don't give up I would start applying for the Fall session as soon as it opens up to apply it seems like the sooner you apply the better your chances are for getting an interview. Best of luck to you.

Hello,

Can you share what they ask you for the interview? And how many questions did they ask? Did you have to write anything? And what was on the reading and writing section?

Thank you!

There was a written assessment at the beginning of interview you had to read an article an then write a summary of it an take a position whether you agreed or could relate an response had to be in correct format. The questions were about my background, why nursing? Discussed volunteer work an any health care experience. I was asked to give scenarios on how I showed empathy an how I showed leadership.

Those are the significant that's stand out to me but I don't remember anything else at the moment.

Thank you so much for your input! How many people interview you? Do you remember their names? And did you meet Anthony Persad?

Do they tell you when they will hear back from you?

Thank you and good luck! :-D

No problem, I spoke with the program manager Judith in the beginning before the interview and did the writing test then I interviewed with Beverly she was the director I can't remember her last name right now. They did say we would find out early to mid August an based on @hopefulie comments we should be finding out something soon after August 10th. The only other person I spoke with was Salvador an he basically advised the same that they would be advising decisions by early to mid August...this is all for the IE campus

Hi @tea7317 that's awesome! We should start connecting :)

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Nothing over here

I interviewed at the main campus, and i was told i wont find out until mid September.
