Approximate time to find a LPN job?

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hey everyone!

Random quick question. I have lived in both Minnesota and Houston and will be transferring back home to the Midwest specifically IL next year due to my husbands job. Once I have transferred my license how long does it approximately take to get a job once you have applied. I lived in Minnesota for twelve years and literally within a few days of applying for a position I would get a phone call back to come in for an interview. However in Houston it has taken me approximately two months between applying for a job and getting hired. I'm wondering if it is because I am in the South OR if this is a state to state thing??? Was wondering if I could pretty please get some input as I obviously need to work and I am not sure if I should apply for jobs several months in advance, OR if IL is pretty much like MN and it should only take a couple of weeks??

Thanks everyone I appreciate your help!

It largely depends on what parts of Illinois you want to get a job in. In What county in Illinois do you want to apply for jobs?

Thats just the problem I"m not sure where I'll be living yet? I was looking at suburbs 40-45 mins by the city with no traffic. Mokena IL looks like a reputable suburb???
