As expressed by a 9 year old girl. I thought you might enjoy my daughter's Veteran's Day essay (which one a VFW award), expressing how our nation's kids look up to, and appreciate all those who serve, in uniform and in civil service, and those who support them:

" I am thankful for all people who have gone to war and have kept us safe and kept the country a safe place to be. And for all the people who have died for us. If they weren't there, we would be dead right now, if it weren't for you guys. If there were more of you guys we would all be thankful. I'm sure of it. Everybody that has gone to war should be apprieciated (sic) and loved for that. Everybody that's in the Army, Navy, Or Air Force, I will always appriciate (sic) forever. Everyone that's been in the Army, Navy or Air Force is defanitely (sic) going to Heaven! Thank You for all the help.

Hopefully, more people come in the military for us and that will help us a lot. Please, our world will be safer. So I will say thank you to all who have fought for America. Every new warrior is in it to win, we know. I am thankful for all of them. They have been so helpful to us all. I think everyone should help by giving more water, food, clothes, blankets and care packages to our warriors in harm's way. So what I am trying to say is, I think your (sic) the best and keep doing what you are doing, keep up the good work and your good deeds.

I can understand how it's hard to leave your families, because I know how it feels. My dad was in a war, too. I also know how it feels when you get home, your (sic) happy! My thanks to America's Armed Forces and your families.

Just know, we are with you, we support you and never forget the sacrifices our military and their loved ones are making for the freedoms we take for granted day by day. We salute you!!!!
