:mortarboard: I'm currently doing a bit of research into uni's in the UK, as I am hoping to do a degree in nursing next year. Can anyone recommend any particular one? Especially in the north (I'm from Manchester).

I was hoping some of you might like to share your experiences; particularly if you have attended Salford University (my preferred choice at this moment).

I have an interview with an admissions tutor there tomorrow morning, but I think it would be beneficial to hear from previous or current students also!!!

I want to move to the US after graduation, so (My god, this is a long shot...) if any of you have been to a uni that has assisted you in making up the hour's ect then I much like to hear from you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

Can't help with the uni side of things as I did my training the old fashion way :) but if you are looking to move to the US afterwards I would suggest ensuring that you do general adult and make sure that you cover both clinical and theory hours in midwifery, mental health and paeds as you will need them hours to meet US nursing requirements, hours vary from BON to BON but I know my hours was 150 (75 prac and theory) on the other subject and mainly general adult

Good luck

Hi there! Thanks for the reply. I was told today that I would cover those subject's but I will be doing 75 hrs theory in each branch but only 10 hours practical experience!! I'm still a bit short but where there's a will there's a way!!!!!
