hi,

i'm graduating in june, and am wondering what the best way to get a job is. i am a canadian studying in toronto, but want to work in san diego when i'm done. is it better to go through a recruiting company, or applying directly to specific hospitals? i'm trying to figure out what the fastest and best way to get a job is!

thanks.

Thread moved to International Forum as it is specific to working in the US.

You will need to take and pass the NCLEX-RN exam, and get a Visa Screen Certificate.....that is going to take quite a few months, perhaps in the eight month range or so, by the time that you get that done. Hospitals will not be able to do a thing until you pass the NCLEX exam.........

If you are a Canadian citizen and hold a Canadina passport, you can qualify for the TN Visa, but again, you will need a Visa Screen Certificate in hand to be able to get it at the border, along with a valid job offer.
