Applying to Nursing School

Published

i currently have 33 hours completed and after this semester is done i'll have 47 hours completed. my current gpa is a 3.4. does anybody reccomend any nursing school that i can apply to? i'll have all my sciences done except for anatomy this semester. i know each nursing school is different that's why i get such a headache trying to figure out schools i can apply to before wasting my money. or should i put off nursing school for another semester to boost my gpa since i know it's not the greatest in the world.

It would be helpful to let us know where you are located, so we don't suggest schools that are across the country from you. You could also post this in the forum for your state. (Under the Region tab)

I picked my school by going to my state's Board of Nursing website. They list all the schools that offer programs (PLN & RN), as well as some highlights of each. All the schools on that website are accredited, so I know I'm not wasting money. I went with the local community college, for financial reasons.

good luck !

i live in houston texas. i'm new to this site. i appreciate the tips :)

Try going here:

http://www.bon.state.tx.us/nursingeducation/info.html

And then scroll down to "Approved Programs" That should lead you to the PDF files of approved LPN and RN programs.
