Are you sure that you can't apply for the Spring 2010 program if you have pre-reqs in progress? Some schools allow you to have one pre-req in progress while you are applying, so you may want to check that out. If that is the case, they will often offer students a spot in the upcoming class, contingent upon the successful completion of the in progress course.
I would continue to take related courses, definitely Microbio, many schools will require it if you are planning to apply to more than one program. After I finished my core pre-reqs, I've started on Pharmacology and Pathophysiology to get a head start. I know I'll have to retake them when I get accepted into a BSN program, but I wanted a head start!
Good luck!

I have a question....
Right now I am taking nursing pre-reqs(Just started). To get into the nursing school I want to get into You need English, Psychology, A&P, and math.
I will have all four of these classes completed at the end of fall 2009. When I apply to the nursing I will already have passes the deadline for spring 2010, so I will have to apply for fall 2010.
In the mean time, until I get an answer from the nursing school can I contuinue to take other pre-reqs at the school I am in? I would hate not to take classes for 1 year while I wait for an answer.
If I do take classes and I get accepted will the classes I took in the mean time still be transferred over because they will be other pre-req nursing classes like microbiology.
Thanks.
