Applying for Nursing Program at Broward College Aug 2012

Can someone tell me what my chances are with these grades for the nursing program at BC A&p1 BA&p lab BA&p 2 BA&p lab. CChem. BChem Lab. AEnc1101. CI took the HESI on Friday and These were my scores....Hesi overall 82%Anatomy. 92%Reading Comp 84%Math. 86%Grammar & Vocab 76% I am submitting my application tomorrow after taking my Micro Final. Do I have a fighting chance? Do I need to submit my HCP certificate and HESI scores with my application. I am not sure how the point system works but I live in Broward county. I was told that starting in July 2012 you will need Mac 1105 for January 2013. I have taken that class and got an A. I graduate this week Friday with my AA. Please help

Wow that awesome ! Yes by the time it was Teas test day I was so tired I almost fell asleep during the test and I wasn't sleeping map my immune system shut down. I had a runny nose , the sniffles ..... So I got a 60 ! And on my hesi I got an 82 and I have an overall 3.2 GPA abut BC only uses some credits as their pre req so it went down to a 3.0. Micro and chem lab will be my tiebreaker

While micro and the arts are not used to calculate your gpa to get into the rn program at BC you need then to graduate with an ASN. So having them done only benefits you. Even if they don't require micro and the other arts classes for you to apply when you get accepted they will ask you to defer since you need to have Micro done to complete yr final nursing semester and there is not much time ( maybe 1 summer depending on when you start). Starting january 2013 they will require mac 1105 at Broward College for the nursing program. If you intention is to go on and get your BSN then you're in a good place if you've already done all the required subjects you'll make a smooth transition.
I know I did everything now so I wouldnt have to wait or give them a reason to defer meI'm just waiting around hoping I get in. And yes after my RN I want my BSN automatically after graduation ! 2 years after that I want to apply to the masters program at UM

You are not the only one!! I was awarded 7 points and I'm having a hard time with BC. They said my transcripts are not complete because I'm currently taking summer classes at MDC (I dont need those for the program) so on MyBC it says "denied-not eligible" and I've sent them emails and never get an answer. Every time I call someone answers with bad attitude (I guess they receive thousands of calls Daily) and tell me to wait because they are still reviewing the applications. Oh well, good luck to you all and let's hope for some good news!!!

Your definitely not the only one I have completed everything you have and I'm 25 with three kids. I am just turning in my application for August and my gpa is a 2.7 overall hesi of 82%. What did you get on the hesi and did you take the teas? Did anyone respond to your email in the nursing department?
Yes finally someone did. But I was added the GPA just like MDC. BC doesnt require micro or Chem lab as a pre-req so it went down to a 3.0 :(

Yes, I applied as a student first, took my hesi and turned in my application and transcripts before May 15. :( Idk what to do now!! They told me my transcripts are incomplete because I'm taking classes (statistics and Sociology). I guess I'm gonna have to go there an talk to an advisor. I'm gonna give it 1 more week since I live so far from BC.

Thank you for your help!!!. I just emailed them. I was reviewing everything and the problem seems to be that MDC did not include the health core course in my transcripts. :'( what a nightmare!!
