Applying for my nursing license/NCLEX! and a question...

It justmakes it more real! We got our applications to register for the NCLEX ($200 dollars!) and our application for the Virginia Nursing License ($130 dollars). Very exciting-makes it more real! Good thing they want this money right around tax return time, otherwise where the heck would a poor student get this much money??

Okay, and a question. I have to attach a "passport type photograph". what the heck is that? i don't have a passport. do they mean just a photo of me in front of a plain background, head and shoulders only? no funny faces? (i wouldnt do that, lol) I also have to sign this photo onthe front (not a big deal, just htought this was an odd requirement) and find a notary somewhere to notarize that i am me signing this.

yay! not too much longer!

Yep, what you're describing is exactly what they want - no polaroids, no funny "action" shots ... :chuckle

You'll be photographed again when you take the exam, as well as fingerprinted - to ensure that it's you taking the test.

I'll be filling out those forms soon also -- good luck! :)

We're in the midst of getting all of our application stuff sent in also ..... exciting, yet stressful because there is so much stuff!

Passport photos can be done at Walgreens, Walmart, etc.

They don't make us sign the photo in front of someone, or even sign the photo at all! (but this is california, not virginia)

You can get the photo done like at Kinko's or somewhere like that

The passport photo is a 2x2 head shot of you. Having them taken can be expensive, but you can do it at any Mailboxes Etc or Wolf Camera, and many drug stores do it. I did mine myself with my digital camera. I have photo paper at home so I just printed it out.
