Hi, was just wondering if anyone else here is applying as a nurse in Norway??

I am leaving on sept 8 and want to get in touch with other nurses who is planning/hoping to work in Norway..

@Kree, you can go through with your application for authorization since you will need it when you apply for a health care job in Norway. Anyways the expiration of the authorization is long enough till you retire :) Also, maybe you can consider other visa if you really want to go. I have been authorize last feb but my documents were lost, but they gave me my id number and they assure to find ways to re-send my documents.

what visa did you apply for?my interviewer also told me its 4 months but you can check the UDI website and you'll see the oldest case is 6 months

correct me if I am wrong but I have read that the processing time is case to case basis. Maybe depending on the course plan that you applied. They will try to process you application for you to go to Norway before your class starts which I think is included in the study plan or course plan that you will submit in the embassy.

[h=2]Skilled workers who are going to study Norwegian[/h]The UDI has recently received a considerable number of applications from skilled workers who wish to study Norwegian, mainly from the Philippines. We have to investigate these cases more closely to ensure that the applications are in accordance with the rules whereby skilled workers can be granted permits for one year to learn Norwegian. This means that people who apply for this type of permit must expect to wait longer than what has previously been the case for this type of application. The oldest cases are currently six months old.

My class suppose to start on Aug 1 but no reply yet from UDI...if your interviewer told you it will be 2 to 4 months then pls update us once they sent you a reply because some people who was in this forum applied as early as March but on the 4th month they received an email indicating the result will be delayed.you might wanna backread too on this thread about news saying that UDI is trying to abolish the type of visa you and I both applied for...
