The interview will be like any other interview as far as what they will ask you....
But you have to ask questions, and you want to ask about the "culture of the unit", how is the "team work", how is the orientation process,
what is the biggest challenge new nurses face in the unit and how is that nurse supported through challenges?
Conversely, they will probably ask you what you foresee will be the biggest challenge for you and how you may overcome it!
Good luck:)
thanks for the tips:wink2:

Just out of interest, do neonatal interviews often ask questions regarding care of the neonate? My biggest concern about my interview is that they'll ask me something along these lines and I won't have a clue! I've no idea what they'lll throw at me so I'm struggling to prepare for it.
If you are coming without experience, they can not presume or assume you will know how to care for neonates. They will ask what you think may be challenging as you become a NICU nurse.
If you are coming with experience, you have to be honest as every place does things differently. So if you were asked about how you do "X", you can say something like...."I learned how to do X by doing A, B and C, however, I am willing and able to learn other ways to manage problem X so that I am compliant with this facilities' policies".
