Applying to Kennesaw nursing for spring 2011

Published

Hi,

I have applied to Kennesaw nursing for traditional program for spring 2011.

I recently changed my major to nursing.

My question is that I heard Kennesaw's nursing program is very hard to get into.

Would they consider hardness of the classes according to universities??? like I know UGA science classes are much harder than GSU or KSU.

I took Physics1 and physics2,

and I frequently heard that UGA chemistry classes are unnecessarily hard and that the level of difficulty is almost as same as those in actual medical schools. so those who will be going to med school will thank UGA chem classes later on.

I'm nervous now that I read everyone's thread about how they all have 3.8 and 3.9 GPAs.

I will be taking TEAS soon so I don't have a score yet. but I've looked at the sample questions and I guess those hard sciences classes do pay off because the science section looked very easy.

Any suggestions or advice??

Do they only count the pre-req GPAs? my pre-req GPAs pretty good.

how's GPC nursing? I wanted to apply to GSU as well but I do not have anatomy 1 and 2 out of the way and they said that I cannot take them together. so it would take at least 6 months just to apply...

To the UGA persons questions...

I am currently an accelerated KSU nursing student (I went to UGA and graduated with a biology degree too :). If you already graduated i suggest the accelerated program. I think overall they looked at GPA and specifically the pre-req. I had a high GPA and my Teas was okay ( I did not really study). For people reading this buy the TEAS ATI book...its word for word its not a hard test (in my opinion) and I suggest taking it right after your finished w/ A&P. For the interview questions: they ask a RANGE of questions. I suggest google interview questions. I did that and went through a 100 questions(or more). Im not very good at interviews. If you look at older posts (say... KSU interview questions 2009 etc..you can find old questions posted). They ask about cheating, care, organization, integrity etc... GOOD LUCK! I have not been on here in forever and will check if more questions are posted.

I am also graduating from GT soon. I have applied to several nursing schools but haven't heard anything yet. What school did you decide to attend?

Apply to Kennesaw State University. They have very good Nursing School. Good luck to you.
