Applying to Jobs without License Number?

Published

Hi everyone! So I had a quick question. Yesterday I found out that I passed my NCLEX-RN. I would like to start applying to RN positions. I wanted to know, is it okay to apply without a license number? My name isn't on my BON yet (NYS). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! 😊

Hmmm. I don't believe you need that. I got hired for an RN position when I was still in school. They just told me to tell them when I took NCLEX and they waited for my name to appear on the board. I don't think you need the license number to apply, however this could be a situation you could explain to your potential employer. They could still hire you. They will just have to have proof of license before your start date. Congrats btw
