Applying to HBU

I have applied for the University of St. Thomas Nursing program but don't know if I have been accepted to start nursing in the Spring 2015 semester. if I am accepted there I have a $11,000 scholarship.

I applied to Houston Baptist University but missed the nursing school deadlines. Its supposed to be a very good nursing school and I was accepted to HBU but I can't apply for the School of Nursing till March 15th and would start in the fall. If I went ahead and started in the spring semester I could do the religion prerequisites. 44 of my credits will transfer. I have a $13,000 scholarship.

If I don't get into St. Thomas is that a place I should consider even though my grandma thinks its too far away(30 min drive) and in a bad area and I am not totally guaranteed a spot? I meet all the requirements for GPA, Test Scores, and Prereqs.

I am currently attending the University of Houston Downtown and have a full scholarship there so I am just hesitant to go somewhere without a guarantee I will be in the nursing program. I have taken the HESI but plan on retaking it Grammar 86 Reading 88 Vocabulary 86 Anatomy 68 Math 90.

I have a 3.2 GPA at UHD and a 3.7 GPA from some classes I have taken at HCC but i don't know how to combine the two GPAs correctly. I will be done with my prerequisites this semester. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
