Applying to CU and Regis, results question

Hi everyone, I am new to the boards. I've been reading for about a year, since before I began my prereqs. I have a BS in Psych and am making a career change to nursing, and am super excited to be completing my prereqs for CU this summer. I will be eligible to apply to both Regis and CU in August. My first choice of schools is CU. My question is this: should I apply to CU and Regis concurrently or wait a semester to apply to Regis? I believe results are in far sooner for Regis as they have an earlier start date. If I am accepted to Regis, might I have to wait beyond their confirmation date to hear back from CU? I don't want to lock myself into a spot at Regis and still be waiting to hear if I am accepted to CU. Does that make sense? Any input?
