Congratulations on your new boy!
Wow, that's a tough call. I would finish the pre-reqs and apply for the Spring semester if Nursing is what you want to do. You can always go back and finish your BA if you decide to.
I would also take health insurance into consideration. I'm not sure who carries it between the two of you, but you sure don't want a small baby to be without it, because they are more likely to end up in the hospital, shots, you name it, they get it.
If you'll lose the health insurance if one of you quits work, then I would go for the later entry 2-year and then do a RN-BSN after-the-fact. That way at least your boys will be a little older and hopefully won't be going to the doctor as much.
Good luck! I'm excited for you!
Yes!
1-there was a response today
2-i have the insurance right now
3-there is a fast track...
after asking around and posting this question my mid terms came in this morning.i bite the bullet and called my program and asked if the advisor could quickly look over my situation. he remembered me!! and said to try and just finish the first degree by using my pre-reqs and apply for the fast track in the spring.
and thank you for saying congradulations about my son....that felt good.

Hello fellow do gooders and happy to work yourselves to the bone type people!!
I'm working on my pre-req's...or they're working me. Not sure. But I've found that my goal is not only possible, it's looking realistic. I have 4 pre-req's left. All hard sciences. As well as enough credits to be a senior in another degree. Would you suggest: A) Working on the rest of the pre-reqs (summer and fall) and applying for the spring of next year with 3 years to go until a B.S.N. And then maybe during the summers finishing the other degree? ...OR... B) Working on finishing a B.A.(summer, fall, spring, summer) And doing pre-req's(summer, fall) until i can apply for the fall of next year's 2 year program?
here's the catch...wife, working now (won't if accepted), 9 month son and expecting a boy in June!!!!
your thoughts? experiences?
Thank you
