I just want to ask is it possible to start applying directly to any US hospital with only CGFNS, but I have already applied for my ATT and waiting... for it.
God Bless! :lol2:

Suggest that you wait until you pass the NCLEX exam. The CGFNS exam means nothing to most hospitals, they want to see that you have passed the NCLEX exam. I do not know of one that will hire based on the CGFNS exam, you only see that with nursing homes.

nursing homes do requires passing nclex-rn. you can never work anywhere without it because having an rn license means you already passed your nclex-rn. that is the very first paperwork they are looking for. with all the strict regulations, every rn needs to pass the licensure exam.
nursing homes will let a nurse work with a temporary permit, especially in ca. in ca as well as several other states, the nurse can work with an interim permit provided that they have passed the cgfns exam, and the english exams. there are many that get petitioned based on just the cgfns exam, remember that uscis will grant a green card based on that.
i do not like anyone starting without having nclex done, but then that is another issue. but it is done all of the time, in ny and ca.
the nurse only has a specific amont of time to get the nclex exam passed, but nonetheless, they can legally work with that interim permit, if they have a ssn#.
many agencies operating out of the philippines will only have the nurse take the cgfns exam, and wait until they are in the us to write the nclex exam........they save money that way.
