Applied to PN program at Mohawk!

Published

Hey guys!

I just applied to the September 2015 I take for practical nursing at Mohawk and had some questions!

I took all U level courses in HS and my average is in the high 60s:( I haven't done the HOAE test yet but am going to in February. I was wondering if my average is too low to even hope for a chance of getting accepted...

The Mohawk PN program is extremely competitive. They receive close to 1000 applications for about 120 seats. I would recommend at least an 80 average for consideration into the program. You can upgrade your marks through Mohawk, they have a free program to upgrade high-school marks, or the Pre-Health program at Mohawk which is a 1 year program which gives you the pre-reqs to apply to nursing programs.

Good luck!

Thank you! And I've done pre health at fanshawe already..got a C in physics but other than that did good in the required subjects like bio chem and math. So even with the HOAE test...there's no chance?

Hey vintagePN do you think that after I write the HOAE test I should do some upgrading at Mohawk?

Could I still possibly get the September intake or wait till January 2016?

So worried now!

There is always a chance, do very well on the test.

Heyy vintagePN, I have got 74% for my HOAE and 93.5% for my high school average. Do you think I have a chance to get in to this competitive program? sooo worried now. I did not finish my HOAE test :(
