Application process with VA clinic.. Confused

I applied to VA clinic exactly one month ago. Or when position closed. How long does it take to hear back from them regarding an interview or job? Does it normally take awhile or should I assume I didn't get the job? Should I give up hope? Every time I try to reach someone in their HR I get the run around with no answers. I feel like I have the proper qualifications for the position, as I have a few years experience as RN BSN in hospital. Anyone out there know the VA hiring process? I remember applying for job had much paperwork with the process.

There are other threads in this forum about the VA. You will learn lots by reading them, especially "VA Hiring Process." It is long but worth the read.

It all depends on the facility. I got calls for an interview after the posting closed 3 weeks after another was 2 weeks.

Okay..today makes a month exactly when job posting closed. Wasn't sure if that was enough time or to follow up again.

Well if u meet the qualifications then your status will say referred usually and that's when u wait to see if you'll get an interview.

But the process does take some time from start to finish so I wouldn't count yourself out just yet.
