I have downloaded the license application in new york and vermont. Is the application in vermont applicable to foreign nurses? There was no indication pertaining to the country I come from. Here's the application I have downloaded. Please let me know if this is correct or not.

I would also like to ask if you need to pass the application and the verification application at the same time in New York? there was a question there specifically in #7 of page 5, that you need to write your SSN and/or New York State Assigned Number. Should i leave that blank?

And lastly, just to be sure, I will attached my transcript of records and diploma to my Verification application. Am I correct? Or is it my school whose gonna do that for me? I'm sorry because some application specifically in California insists that the school is the one who will send my transcript to them.
Thanks suzanne4 for always being there to answer my questions. I trust you and I hope you'd continue to support me on this. Thank you so much.

You must have downloaded the wrong application from Vermont. There's a seperate application form for Foreign RNs. It has 5 pages.
Just waut for Suzanne for your other queries.

For NY, you do not have a NY ID number, or a SSN#, so you just leave that blank. If you can file all three applications at the same time for NY, that is the best way. If you can only do one, then do the CVS, once that is accepted, then the NY application.
Do not apply to two states at the same time.
CVS, for NY, requires that CGFNS obtain the necessary documents for you. You do not send the transcripts, etc., they can't be used. If you notice on the application, it asks for your signature only for a release for them. Anything that you send to them cannot and will not be used by them.
VSC can use the same documents that are used for the CVS, another reason why I like NY so well.

Please beware that CGFNS will keep sending verification letters to the BON of your country and your school addressed to you, so that they will likely be discarded if you don't have some ones in the board and school keep an eye for you on the unclaimed mails. And please don't forget register-mail every correspondence with CGFNS and keep a copy of everything, record telephone conversations, etc. etc. You never know what you need to do in the future.
