Just wanted to let folks know that this may be available in their area. There is a link at the bottom of the page listing the participating restaurants. I hope many of you can take them up on this special offer.
Select Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants (164 participating restaurants nationwide) are testing a promotion that invites all active duty and veterans to pull up a chair for a delicious meal and heartfelt thanks this Veterans Day. With gratitude for their service and sacrifice, active duty and veterans will eat free at participating locations on Veterans Day (November 11, 2008) during regular business hours.
Just wanted to urge anyone that is interested in this to be sure to check the link. 164 restaurants in twelve states are participating in a trial run. Applebee's hopes to take this nationwide in the future if this proves to be a success.

Golden Corral does the same thing, although on a broader basis:

The more, the better. Hope lots of military folks can take them up on their offers.

It was way too crowded, so I had to pass it up. I'm all for free food, but my kids aren't one to wait! ha
