APII and Straighterline

Published

Hey ya'll!

Has anyone taken APII at Straighterline and did you have to actually buy the lab kit they want you to buy. I wanted to take this but the lab kit is $249...which is more than the class actually costs.

You can take the A&P II without lab for the excelsior a&p requirement. MissingMyErica took it for hers and she will be sitting for the NCLEX soon. I haven't taken it yet but have academic approval from excelsior so I know you don't NEED the lab, of course if you plan on transferring anywhere but Excelsior if you pursue your BSN you may run into an issue and another institiution may require the A&P with lab.

Thanks...I probably should have put this in the pre-nursing section...I was just thinking "online" class = distance learning. I need to take APII with a lab.. I'm not going to excelsior... I wanted to know if people actually bought that exact lab for the class...that's what I was asking. Thanks though

No Smokey, you're in the right spot. :) There are just a lot of Excelsior students here as well!

I took A&P II through Straighterline without the lab. Excelsior does not require the lab.

Thanks hon! I just thought maybe posting in there would be better because I'm getting answers to questions I didn't ask.:lol2:

Maybe I'll rephrase. Otay...did anyone here take APII with the lab at Straighterline? If so, did you purchase the lab kit they said to that costs $249? or could you get away with not purchasing the lab kit for the APII class with the lab? The question has nothing to do with Excelsior...just Straigherline.:D

Hey Smokey, I asked Straighterline about the lab kit and they said yes you do have to buy and upload pics of lab assignments. In order to recieve a grade they have to be done.

That's why I went back and asked Excelsior again about whether the lab was required.

KelLPN, how long did it take you to complete a&p II with starighterline?

All together about a month and a half to finish.

It's not a super easy course either, I recommend getting the book they require.

@SMOKEY, yea after finding that out I said ok i'll take it without the lab. =)
