Anything but a Nurse!

"Anything but a Nurse!"...that's what my family tells me. My mom was a nurse, and hated it. My dad, who hasn't been with my mom for more than a decade, said the same thing. He said I'll have a "dog's" life- or something to that effect, that I'll make money but they'll work me to death. Now, here I am, coming back to my nursing community, hoping you can all tell me that if it's what I want to do- I may love it. I really want to do it- I fell in love with nursing when volunteering at a hospital- I love the patients, I love studying medicine, and I can't wait...I know the stress. I just tell them that I want to give it a shot and I'm not going to give up something I want to do just because some people don't like it.
