Anyone work for Nursing by Demand out of Dayton? Agency LPN?

Published

Does anyone here work for nursing by demand? there was an ad in the paper and they called me for an interview but i was just curious if anyone worked for them? I Know it's agency nursing and that they mostly fill LTC facilities. she said there is a lot of driving involved. mostly i just wondered on the average pay? do they pay for milelage or travel? are you offered a lot of shifts or does it reallly vary a lot? I'm going to be going back to school in Oct for my RN so i was just looking for someting prn or part time that will work around my schedule since my school times will vary depending on clinicals, and classes per term. thanks!

I work for NBD and they are very professional and the management is awesome and very helpful which is very unlike alot of companies out there! The owner of the company is so sweet and will help you out with anything. They are flexible with scheduling which is great if you are going to school. Also just the fact you get to be involved with providing excellent care to a person during their transition from life to death and making sure they are comfortable and their needs are met is a blessing in itself. I have learned alot in the time I have worked in hospice.

I am going to start work for them here in a few weeks. I am very excited as this will be my first nursing job. I look forward to working with them :D

CaringLPN, Do you still work for them? I'm considering applying. What facilities has everyone in the Dayton area been sent to? How is the pay?

No I don't. I left there in December. I work at a different home health company now and part time in a LTC facility as well. I got paid $16 an hour, but that was a year ago, so I don't know if it's still the same.
