I was just wondering if any of you were from that area...:lol2:

Specializes in crirical care.

2 weeks, 15-31 of Jan, I think. Did you look during the week day or weekend? I know sounds strange, but when I called two building managers, they said they do showings only during week, not on weekends. My boyfriend is also coming on Sat to help me look, so I was hoping to go through most of the search that weekend.

I looked yesterday, Saturday. I only looked at one apt complex but someone was actually looking for a roommate so I was fortunate to have a tour by a resident herself. There are a few apt complexes that are willing to give tours on weekends, but I'm not sure about the ones closest to the hospital. Are you opposed to finding someone that has a room up for rent in their apt, house, or condo? Or do you want to get a studio or one bedroom first? Like I said, I didn't want to start off by myself in an unfamiliar area, so I really wanted to have a roommate to keep me company, and also since its much more inexpensive as well! Good luck next Sat! Let me know if you found anything :)

I'm totally open to sharing apartment with someone. I like having company, and before meeting my partner, I had always roommates and I like it very much. The thing is you need to find someone you get along with:)

hi ReyaRN and lananp!

I have an interview coming up! Would you be able to tell me about their critical care intern program?

Hi! The program is great. We went through a 3 month program that was primarily concentrated in the ICU and Cardiac ICU. We spent a little time in the ER and step down ICU units. At the end of the program you get hired into a "home" unit, based on need and preference. Through out the entire 3 months, we also had to take classes too like advanced arrythmias, hemodynamics, and things like that. It was a pretty intense 3 months, but definitely needed, especially if you dont have any experience at all, like myself. If you have any other questions just let me know! Good luck!
