Hello, Iam taking the ANCC in March, I have used the Fitzgerald review in the past and was not successful, has anyone used the Barkley review and if so were you successful??? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

You know..I purchased the Barkley's Curriculum Review book for FNP's a while back and was excited about it. Just finished NP school and looked more closely at the questions and review sections and rationals. I have come to the conclusion that I want my money back. There are many questions that contradict the explanation or rationals. Then to top it off some of the discussion parts of the review sections are darn right wrong. That or there are a serious amount of typos! If anyone has caught these mistakes please let me know because I want my money back. Some typos or incorrect information I found on pt 94 Question 19, 103 DM chart, 104 explanation of anion gap labs in reference to DKA (to name a few). I'm disappointed in Barkley's review book and I was so looking forward to the format it offered.

I used Barkley for ancc PMHNP. Good review, the book and audio discs. Didn't have crap to do with the test content, however. I swear most of my Q's dealt with policy and employee mediation, I.e. rifts between nurses.

Does Barkley help with AANP or just ANCC? I plan on taking the AANP next fall.

Hi, can you please tell me if you ended up taking the live review and if you recommend it or not? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hello! I think the book is useful however I think the live course can be substituted with the cd. Speaker does not allow much time for questions she is basically speaking for 8 hours. After paying for live course that is what I think. I did pass the exam and love my career. Buying the practice test questions helps tons ! I listened to other cds in car ride

as well. When ru taking? Through which board?

Hi everyone!

I am planning on taking the acute care certification and debating whether I should take Bakleys live review class or not. I already have his CDs and a cope of the book. I just don't want to pay for something that I already have if that is the case? is there anything different from live course to the CDs? if so, what? i don't mind paying the big bucks if there is a big difference. Also, any advice on how far along from taking the exam should I take the live review course if anything... Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks
