i am looking for an agency that has the contacts and flexibility to send me working all over australia for placements from 4-6 weeks = and of course for the one that pays the best!

thanks for your assistance!

You may want to try posting on the Australian forum. I will be surprised that you would be able to do a travel assignment like that with moving every 4 to 6 weeks. Work permits and licensing will be a big part of it.

i have posted it on that forum as well - i wasn't sure which country this website originated from ?> is it american? seem to be a lot of americans on here anyway

here the travel nursing is a bit different - my work permit will be with the agency - they don't have a problem with my moving around frequently (or so they say!) - they will just get me casual work wherever i go - different from the states where most hospitals want you to do a 13 week contract

sounds like the licensing here is also easier - you still have to have a license for every state, however they say you can get it the same day as long as you have licensure in another state, and even apply on the internet - so it doesn't sound too bad

I worked in Australia for awhile, and loved it. I was on staff at a hospital, not working for an agency. Our ICU used nurses from Code Blue regularly as replacement for sick calls etc. Many of the staff nurses in the unit worked with Code Blue to get extra work on their days off. The nurses that Code Blue supplied were always great, and they seemed to like the agency. I wasn't aware they did placements for overseas nurses, but I am quite confident in recommending them.

Good luck! I am sure you will absolutely LOVE working in Australia.

You still have to go thru their immigration procedures, don't you? I know several nurses that have been waiting more than one year for that. And that is to do agency work down there.

yes - i don't know how it works coming from other countries - but coming from the usa and getting a business sponsored work visa takes 2-6 weeks

the independent skilled migration visa takes 4-12 months - is that the one they are waiting on?
