Just wondering if anyone has done the kaplan review course and if it helped? It is quite expensive and I just wanted to hear some thoughts on it before I register for it.

I did the complete NCLEX RN that has the in class as well as online review, Qbank and Qtrainers. The Qtrainers has 7 test that gets harder as the numbers increases and the Qbank has around 1500 ques with individual answer review. In class there is a diagnostic test at the start and a readiness test at the end. Also in class you go over ques however you can go over the same ques online. The online center also has a strategy workshop for answering ques and goes over the Kaplan decision tree. All in all the review was very professional in my opinion and even though they give you the content in a form of a book( which goes over all the topics not in too much detail) and a online professor reading straight from the book, for the most part you are responsible for the content. There is mix feeling s about Kaplan on this forum some swear by it others don't but if you follow their plan I think you should be fine and if not there is a money back guarantee Hope this helps

Hi there! I actually took the Kaplan review course in August of this year. I took the full course and had four days of classroom instruction and then access to their Qbank and on-line content review. To be honest with you, I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE anyone to take the course. IF you follow the study plan that they suggest and IF you do all of the questions they give you, it will help immensely. It is NOT a waste of money in the least. It is worth it. Plus, if you do not pass, they will give your money back IF you did what they advised you to do.
I took the NCLEX one week ago and passed in 75 questions. I sincerely believe that my passing was due to my practice with Kaplan. On that note, SIGN UP!
Good luck to you. You will do great...just do a ton of practice questions before the exam and be positive.
thanks that was a big help! the course is this weekend and I am running out of time to decide. I just found out I failed NCLEX oct 5 and my husband lost his job the day after so we are depending on my shaky income if I fail again I lose it. So I have to pass, to much stress!!!!
Really sorry to hear this, hope everthing works out for you. Best wishes.:wink2:
