Can't pass NCLEX-RN so took PN and passed???
my adn program won't let sit for LPN either. you have to gradute the RN program. Thanks ZeldaJane, iam awaiting my results and the suspence is killing. I do think I had more confidence for the PN boards and if I pass it will give me even more confidence to sit for RN boards. Lately I have had to much on my shoulders too and can't concentrate. But I think I spent prob 20min during the test praying that the exam would shut off at 85 and I was shocked when it did my heart rate must have went up to 165 min and I felt like I was going to pass out. oh well anytime now Ill find out if it was all worth it!:icon_roll

Can't pass NCLEX-RN so took PN and passed???
zeldajane did you feel like the PN was easier than the RN? I took the PN today, against advice, and had 85 q. I plan to take the RN again, I just didn't have the confidence at this point. If I failed it I wont attempt it again I'll just keep on trying for my RN.

well guys i took nclex-pn today. when i last posted i said my test was dec2. idk what i was thinking to nervous to even think about looking at the calendar to see what day monday was. I know alot of said i should stick with the RN test but I just didn't have the confidence after a close friend failed again. Anyway I failed RN in oct with 265 q and today I had 85 q on the PN exam. I am nervous about it but feel better about this one than the RN.What do you guys think? It is nice to vent to you guys, I haven't told anyone but family either.

Is NCLEX-PN easier than NCLEX-RN?
well, thanks for all your opinions. I am totally freaked out about taking boards again. I don't feel i'm ready for either but I have to do something or go back to being a cna, which is not the worst its losing $10 an hour when I am the one employed right now and 2 kids.

I am supposed to test again in dec., only because I am doing graduate nursing at work and they are wanting me to. I should get my att this week. However, I am sooo not ready, but I don't have much choice but to take it. i am doing the kaplan program now and was hoping that would give me a boost on studying, but I am just not motivated to study. I feel pretty sure I will fail it this time too. Sick of hearing people say your smart, you'll pass, and alot of nurses fail first time around. Unless you have failed the exam you just don't know what its like to go into that aweful place and literally flush $200 down the drain andthen see the word FAIL! All of my peers have passed and I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb cause I am the only one who hasn't passed. Iam a mom of two and have to spend late hours to study maybe 25q's only to fall asleep. I feel so pressured to pass this exam, that I am setting myself up for failure. This is a long thread but I just had to vent.

Is NCLEX-PN easier than NCLEX-RN?
I was just wondering if anyone failed the RN exam and then took the PN exam and passed. I have only taken the RN once and failed after 265q's, but I feel as though I am never going to improve my knowlege unless I get some hands on. I have studied and I am burnt out trying to study after the kids go to bed. I am doing the Kaplan tests and 65% is about the best I can do, which doesn't put me any where close to passing the RN exam. I have applied for the PN exam but I wonder if its going to be the same as the RN?

My NCLEX Story
it is hard to stay disciplined after graduating! way to go!!!!!!

Failed
hi there for a little inspiration you should read the thread titled "I passed, Please read my strange journey" It really touched me. Maybe it will give you a little hope. Lots of great nurses fail NCLEX not because they didn't know how to be a nurse, mostly because they have a hard time with test taking or anxiety gets them down. Keep your head up cause you can do it!

77 question. ..HELP!!!
now is not the time to stress, your done with the test so relax a little while and give youself a break from studying. If you fail and you probably didn't, you can take it again. I just found out I failed my test sunday and it didn't help to stress, its not going to make the decision of passing or failing it only makes you and your family miserable.

thinking about a kaplan review or ncsbn?
I did the ncsbn website and it is alot cheaper than Kaplan. However, what you are going to get out of that website is a q-bank and content. You could get that out of a Saunders book which is highly reccommended by most of the people on this site, and you don't have a time limit as with ncsbn. I am signing up today for the complete kaplan review course. As one person said earlier the key is to actually do the work! Hope this helps and good luck with your decision!:)
