I took the test yesterday, but I feel like "I am failing"
It was so confused and I found the CPNRE book(74CND) was totally useless.
I also bought internet practice tests from the test organization, they also useless.
the test was horrible, and I hope I could get pass.
I usually got mid~high 70's on internet test and the exam prep book
event their analysis indicates that I have 85%~95% of possibilty of pass.
BUT!!
Yesterday I realized the real test was much difficult than the practice test.
I wonder other's oppinion. was it difficult?

Yup..I wrote it for the second time (first one was in May)
and I honestly felt that I did pretty good on this one. I felt confident leading up to the exam. However, there were some questions that had me scratching my head (and some questions that I know I got wrong lol). Other then that, I feel okay. I didn't use up all the time provided. I never changed my answer as well (Which I did on my first exam)

The rule is (and I've done the LPN and RN licensing exams) if you feel like you've failed you've passed!

I am really surprised that there aren't more responses on this thread.
I wrote on September 15th in Toronto and found the first part to be really difficult. I have to say that I was super stressed. After a relaxing lunch I found that the second half was so much easier.:) Maybe because I was more relaxed? I also quickly answered the questions and didn't second guess because that's often a big mistake.
I don't know if I passed or not. It's always a toss up for me but this wait is super stressful. I try really hard not to think about it. I've completed tests where I thought I aced it and didn't and vice versa. I also suppose it depends what the pass mark is. I found that the test was much harder than the simulated tests.
Amongst the people I knew reactions were mixed, so who really knows. This six week wait is a killer because I really don't know how I did.

Agreed. The first part for me was somewhat difficult compared to the second half. I also answered super fast on the second one and as I finished, I looked back and the room was still full. I also feel the same way you do..but since it was my second time writing, I feel way more confident then before.
Report your results here once you get it!! :)
hi deanne1985. how did you prepare for the CPNRE? what are the books that you used? did you take a review course? please share. Thanks. Good Luck :)
Hi, I used the Mosby's prepbook.
I used the internet for information, prior tests and textbooks.
And the CPNRE prepbook and did the assessment test.
The first booklet was much harder than the assessment test and I found it was more like the second booklet.
I didn't take the prep course and I heard from many others in my class that it wasn't very useful. Note: these courses may not be created equally so I don't want others to not take it on my account. I have an aunt and uncle who are RNs and two aunts who are RPNs. The RPNs have certificates so I have to imagine that their exam would have been easier than they are today? It was very useful sitting down with them going over some of the questions and discussing strategies.
This waiting for the results is real torture. I try not to think about it and just work hard at my job.
I will tell you the results when I receive them.

Deanne, we got a couple more days to go!!! I hate the waiting part of it all.....its the worst
More than a couple of days really. I wouldn't count on anything until the last week of October. You're right, this wait is too long.
