Anyone taking Micro (Bio 204) w/CCConline session 2?

Published

I'm going to be taking Micro w/CCConline this fall session 2. Wondering if anyone on here will be in this class with me?

i would be interested in taking the beginning micro course if i can still get in.

i have gone to their website to research the offering.

can you tell me the total cost for an out-of-state student?

and do i have to apply, send transcripts, do any pre-reqs beforehand- or can i just register for the course & pay up?

i'm older & wiser:chuckle, so i would be reliable study buddy.

i returned home this evening after spending 2 days at the wild on wounds annual conference in orlando fl for wound care certified rns, lpns (me:nurse:) & pts.

during the week, i'm going to inquire with excelsior if i can receive any credits for my wcc as excelsior is now offering an online wound care course!

i desperately want to earn my rn, but hate the idea of attending the local community college as several lpns in our hopsital failed the nclex-rn several times over the last 2 years:cry:

thanks in advance for any information you are able to give me:yeah:

Well jansailsea....it was quite the process getting setup up for CCConline. First I had to apply to a "home college", I picked Pikes Peak. I applied online and was able to register a few days later. I had to have the department chair register me though because I didn't have the exact prereqs for their college but had completed other science courses (A&P1, Human Biology, and am currently registered for biochem and A&P2) along with having my BBA an MBA degrees, so they waived the prereqs. I did a fax registration with the dept chair's signature.

Yesterday I paid for my tuition and ordered all my materials. It was quite the sticker shock. Tuition for this course (out of state) is $964. Then I had to order a book, the lab pack, a microscope and oil immersion lens to which totaled another $560. The class is pricey, but I'm hoping it will be worth it.

How did you find A&P1? Was it hard this way? I'm taking the pre-req for it and I'm nervous about AP. I can't take biochem this way because it doesn't have a lab.. bummer.
