No, I didn't I was going too but it was way to daunting a task for me to sort out what information was and wasn't important.
I took mine from ccconline.org. It was very straight forward and I learned alot. Absolutely highly recommended.
Good luck.

Took micro and A&P through EC within the past 6 months; found both to be difficult, but doable. If you plan on pursuing a BSN; you'll need to take these subjects someplace with a lab component for them to be acceptable.

I took Micro through EC. I took about 3 months of daily study and got an "A" I was scared to pieces to try it but it worked out for me.

THATS funny...but I too became a germophobic after micro! I am all done with my theory exams and have a CPNE date for March in Syracuse.

I am considering EC to get my ASN. If I take micro through them how do I get my clinical component in? Do I have to travel to a site?
Thanks!
There IS NO lab component..which is the beauty of the EC course
Oh, well that certainly simplifies things. So I just get the book and teach it to myself. How do I find out more about the course, like how many tests are involved? I'm assuming you don't just take one test and test out of it do you?
Thanks,
Michelle
There is only one test involved; which you take when you feel ready. A test outline and study guide are available for free on Excelsiors website. There are also several commercial test prep services (istudysmart, RUE, etc.).
You can get a test outline and study guides for the EC exams for free? I went to their site and saw where you could take online practice tests for $75 but didn't see the free ones. Can you point me in the right direction? and also you don't need to be a registered EC student right? I am planning to get me degree through ISU but would like to take some of my prereqs through EC.
