I have a scheduling issue for the fall and it looks like the only way I can fit a comm 102 is through an online course through shelbyville. I am not able to view a syllabus for the class yet. I was just curious to see if anyone has had a good experience with intro to interpersonal communication

took comm 102 online in the spring of spring 2015 semester in Indianapolis. My teacher was Bettina Davis. It was a super easy class, you have to participate in discussion boards and write a few papers, and there may have been a quiz or two. As long as you complete all of the assignments on time and follow the rubric when writing the papers it is an easy A class. That being said it can still be a time consuming class. My teacher required us to write an intercultural experience paper, where we had to go and interview someone or immerse ourselves in another culture and write about it. I interviewed my neighbor who emigrated from Ethiopia when she was 18. It was something that I did not want to do, and it took me out of my comfort zone, but in the end I actually really liked the assignment.
I can't guarantee that your class will be like mine though. I know other people who have taken the same online course as I did, but with a different teacher, and they had to do group projects and write much longer papers (9 pages as opposed to my 3 pages).
I appreciate that reply. I will definitely take your experience into account. I am actually having an issue getting my high school transcripts at the moment for my program application. Manual highschool is no longer an IPS school so I can't get my documents from the school and IPS has not returned any of my calls. I will have to go down there Monday and see what's up.
