I am still in high school but am taking college classes in the late afternoon or at night and I am signed up to take A&P I and CHM at the same time plus my high school stuff. I have taken other classes already (ENG, SPEECH, SOC., and PSY) but never any this hard. Did anyone else take these two very hard (for me at least) calsses together? If you did how did you do it??? I need some tips! I don't know if I am going to be able to handle it. Thanks for all of your help!!

I took Anatomy and Chemistry at the same time. It sounds like you have been successful in your classes in the past. For me time management and organization were very important. I also looked for websites that would help quiz me for Anatomy. It gave me a break from reading the text and the practice I needed for the quizzes. Good luck to you!

Only 1 person??

I don't think many advisors recommend it, but it can be done. Don't worry. For me as I said before time management was key.

It sounds like a lot at once to me. You need to make sure that you are doing well in everything you do, not just a couple of classes. If I were you, I would concentrate on your highschool courses first and only take A&P or the Chemistry this semester. You are young and need to have a life outside of homework and studying. Don't rush into college just so you can get a job faster. Take a little time to enjoy your youth!!!

Good luck!

I agree with Chantels1 I think it is alot. You are going to have 5 to 6 classes in HS and then taking 2 college sciences classes on top of that is alot. You want to make sure that you can keep your GPA up so I think I would only pick one of the college sciences classes this go around. You have to remember you will have a lab class for both as well.

I haven't taken Chem and A&P but I do plan on taking Chem & Micro this fall! Good luck with your two

I have to agree with the other posters who said it does seem like too much.

I'd go with one or the other, and if you really feel the need to take another college level course than make it a GE course. I see you've already had psych/speech/ENG...does the program you are shooting for have a Human Development or Arts requirement?

The benifit of taking Human Development now would also be great as it builds upon psych and in some small ways delves into Anatomy so it may help to take Human Development and Chem now and then A&P later? This really is a difficult senario to get right however as professors can vary so widely. I know my Human Development professor was great and yet my wife felt no value in hers...so it really is a toss up as in various other college courses.

Big thing here is that you really are spreading yourself thin if you take on so much at once in addition to your high school load. You'd pretty much be studying just to get through the test and not really learning as much as you could...and when you are getting to the level of Chem and A&P, these are the courses that you really need to get the most out of for Nursing.

In any case, good luck and kudos to you for being so responsible at such a young age. I wish I had your motivation, great job and you should be proud.
