Anyone at all?

Published

Hello,

I posted a thread 10 days ago to see if anyone was starting classes at Camden Co. Tech Instit. LPN program in April. I haven't had any responses yet. So, I would like to know if anyone has been a prior student there? I would love to get some feedback. I'm just so excited and nervous anything would be appreciated!!! Thanks.

Cami,

That is wonderful! hard work does pay off, literally!! Good luck on your trip. Please let me know how it turns out. I will keep you posted on how i'm doing also. Do you have any idea where you want to work? What's the average pay for a new grad? I hope you find something that you like and pays well to. Keep in touch! Laura

Hi Laura,

I was so happy to see your thread. I'll be starting school with you on Wednesday. I'm caught between excitement and panic right now. I've never been out of the house 5 days a week. My kids are older than yours--14, 15 and 18(also named Laura). They're in for a shock.

What are your childcare arrangements? Your kids are at a good age for this. They're young enough to be flexible and old enough for the 8AM to 3PM schedule.

I think I've bought everything. I found the Tablers on the Barnes and Noble website. It's an expensive, hardbound book so I hope we use it.

Lee

Good luck to both of you this week.

Hi Lee,

I feel the same way you do!! I am glad to finally know someone who will be in the same class. I hope I have everything also. Books, scrubs, stethescope, blood pressure cuff, etc., right? Anyway I hope it works out, I am so nervous. It's good to know I'm not alone. I've been so busy, I read your mail the other day and I'm just now able to write you back. Is your first name Lee? I am going to get there early tomorrow. Probably around 8:40 or so. I guess I;ll see you there. I;m sure they'll take role call, so we can see who each other is. Do you think we'll be able to sleep tonight?

Oh wait, we're moms, we never sleep anyway!! I'll be checking my mail later tonight if you want to write back!! Laura

PS- THANKS FOR THE ''GOOD LUCK'' SUSAN!

Hi Laura & Lee! How was your 1st day? Do you two feel less nervous now? I hope you both had a good day. Laura, did you still need the Tabers? I can get it to you if you want it.

hello :)

my name is belinda and i will be starting class in june at the center for allied health & nursing. has anyone attended

Hey Cami,

First day was pretty good. Was nervous this morning, but that's normal. Your class must be thanking God your not in our shoes this morning, right? I guess it makes you feel good knowing how far you have come!! Oh, I have the tabers. Thanks for the offer, I meant to tell you that a few weeks ago that I got it. They do seem pretty strict, but I supposed they have to be. I think I will do fine, and the class we have seems to be pretty serious about the program. Looking forward to a good year! I'll keep you posted! Laura

I would rather be in your shoes, knowing what I know now. If I flunk out now, which is possible, I will be nowhere. Your class looks like a nice class. I have not talked to many people in it yet. Who are you. I was the girl at the podium, when we came in to speak to your class. I am the Pennsville girl. My name is Stephanie, my daughter is Cami actually Cambria. The test on Monday, your Med Term, know how to do the definitions both ways. Be able to write them. In Fundamentals make sure you always read the skill sections at the end of each chapter. A&P will be your easiest class- the questions are right out of the book, and in your workbook know the which one is incorrect for the tests. I have more tips just ask.

Hey Stephanie,

I was without a computer over the weekend my brother was working on it. I just got your message. I sit in the second row very end seat (right at the door where you all peek at us! HA HA!) I don't remember who was who when you all came in to talk to us. Where do you hang out during break? Or I'll just ask tomorrow who who are. I was afraid to ask for Cami. I wasn't sure being a screen name. Anyway the test is actually tomorrow. It was moved from Monday. I am so nervous. The instructors seem good. Any tips will be great! What do you think is the hardest subject? Any tips on the instructors for their classes? By the way Cambria is a beautiful name and different. My husband's family looked at me funny when I told them all we were naming our daughter Scarlett. Now they can't picture her as any one else! I love pretty names that you don't hear to often. Please keep in touch, I will look or ask for you tomorrow! Thanks Laura

I am sorry about your computer, I am glad your brother was able to fix it. At lunch, and break I normally hang out with one of the guys in my class. I have a red Cavalier, and a black Alero. How did you do on your test. I passed my Mental Health Final with an 84. I was so happy since it is my worse class. I did not attend school Thursday, do to having strep throat. Thank God for Spring Break. With the instructors- Mullen follow the book, and look for small details. Clarke if she says star star or highlight, know it. You can do her tests by the lectures, and also look at the charts for her tests. Mrs. R is straight out of the book, I do the worst on her tests due to not studying the material. She teaches P&PR which is an Easy A, I got one, and just read the chapters. Hardest subject for most was Nutrition. We lost 6-8 people for flunking that final during core. That was the most students we ever lost at one time. Be careful with nutrition and know all your Vitamins, and minerals~and which foods are the highest. Thank You for liking my daughters name, Scarlett is also very pretty and unique.

Hey Stephanie,

I just got your message from April 16. I am so stressed out!! Why are these tests so hard and complicated? I'm trying really hard to hold onto my 81.7 average. I feel like there is not enough time at night to do all the studying. Mrs. Mullin covered 2 chapters in 1.5 classes today and it's like 45 pages!!! I am studying a lot, but I feel so average on the tests. I am trying to change the way I study. I am glad that you did so well on your test. Yes the nutrition is really hard! I got a 77 on the first test. Maybe we can meet up for lunch one day!! See you at school . Laura

Hi Laura,

I am just now getting back on to respond. I understand your stress, our class is letting it out by laughing alot. We might seem a bit crazy. Your classmates seem nice. Well, not all. Have you ever met Lee? I don't understand why the material on the tests is so hard. I wish I did. Mullin, and Turner are famous for finishing alot of chapers in a period. Just last Friday, Mullin gave us a Pharm test over 5 chapters. It will be over with before ya know it. Sorry, about having Mullin teach you all lung expansion, but you will need to know it for sumer clinical. I had 4 patients this summer that I had to check, and thank god I knew how. I know what you mean by the 45 pages, but it will get easier with time, I promise. Next year you will fly through 45 pages. Lunch sometimes sounds great. See you @ school.

~Stephanie~
