I love coming here and getting advice. I am enrolled at Gwinnett Tech in the LPN program. I won't start classes until next spring since that's there only time for entrance. I am taking all my pre-reqs now and I just wondered if there is anyone else out there enrolled?
Have a great one

I'm enrolled at Savannah Tech and have 3 weeks left of my first quarter of pre-reqs. I love my Medical Terminology class. My other class is Diet & Nutrition which is okay but since I'm taking it on-line I don't feel like I'm getting much out of it. I've decided I won't take anymore classes on-line because I really do prefer classroom instruction.
Next quarter I'm taking A&P and Intro to Healtcare and then I'm done with my pre-reqs. They admit Spring and Fall for the LPN classes so I'm really hoping to make it for Spring. If I don't then I'll be sitting out almost a year before I start.
Also, I found out from another student who is taking Surgical Tech that she has a different A&P then I will have. I wonder why they aren't the same. Anyone know?
i have to take 5 classes, intro to hc, math, eng, med term and a&p. i don't have to take diet & nutrition. i took med term before because i have a coding degree but since that was several years ago i figured i would take it over. also, i think that perhaps the course might be different as it applies to nursing so i stand to learn something new which is always good.
i hope to be accepted for the spring program too. so far i am maintaining an a average so my grades are good. i don't have any anxiety about the interview. i still have to take the net test and i am going to start studying for that when we break after sept 13th.
good luck to you!
ps. i have been to savannah many times and i love it. my husband & i hope to go there in nov for our anniversary.

Here is the website. http://www.northmetrotech.edu/index.html?lmenu=PoS&content=PoS/NSG
That is where you can find all of the information on the program. I would recommend that you talk to someone in the Allied Health department because regular admissions can't provide all the details. I am applying for the spring quarter but you can apply in spring and fall after you complete core classes, the interview and the NET test. I'm not sure how many are accepted to the program at a time.

For those who are already accepted into the LPN programs, do you have any tips/advice on the NET testing and the interview process. I am wondering what to expect.

I was attending Gwinnett Tech last year waiting to go into their LPN program. I was taking AHS101, PSY101, and SCT100. The teachers their are GREAT I learned alot but the staff in the front office never return phone call and are VERY rude. I guess it is because their are so many students. GOOD LUCK with your classes!

I am in my second qtr Med-Surg I at Augusta Tech (Augusta Campus). I am enjoying the course. It is challenging b/c I work full time, go to school full time and I have a family as well. I have so far managed to balance everything out the best that I can. I am maintaining a B average right now which is pretty good considering how busy my schedule is. If there is anything I can help you with or anything you want to know just let me know.
