Anyone been out of school for awhile and having difficult time adjusting...

Hi, taking pre requisites for nursing been out of college for 7 years. Taking Intro to Psych class online and some how have an 89. However, 2 online quizzes had 68 and 63. I am feeling discouraged I am having difficulty retaining information when studying. I'll read the chapter, go through the work online, and rewrite definitions down. However, come quiz time can't recall any information or any info in my notes.

Any study advice?

I was out of school for close to 15 years. I looked at the pre reqs for nursing and took a class that I knew I would enjoy (history) in the summer to see how I would do, etc. I am nearing the end of my pre reqs and am glad I took that class right off the bat as it got me going enough to know I could do it. I haven't done an online class yet, so I am unable to help there.

Yes I have kids and a degree in liberal arts I did while hung over mostly about 15 years ago ... Ahh big adjustment and im doing gen Chem and a and p 1 and feeling like I will fail unless I make a big turn around. My house is chaos and needs a good spring clean this weekend then next week I need to find the science tutors and get them so go over dimesional analysis with me big time or I will fail - I need close to a 4.0 because the cheap nursing schools I plan to apply to is super competitive so they pretty much only take 4.0 students as so many applicants
