I'm a third year student thinking about ottawa for my consolidation. I'm interested to hear your opinions on how students are welcomed in different units of the ottawa hospital and/or queensway carleton hospital.

I work at the ottawa general hospital and I think that students really like it here atleast on 5 West. It is an oncology Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. Many of the students we have had come and work on our unit afterwards.

hey there!

I'm just finishing my second year at UOttawa/Algonquin.

Other than St. Vincents (a continuing complex care hospital), I was placed at the Civic Hospital, for my maternity rotation. As students we were all very much welcomed. Though there were some nurses who didn't take well with us students, but for the most part, I've heard nothing but good things from the General and Queensway Carleton as well!

The paperwork is in now, and I guess I'll find out in October (isn't that a rediculously long wait?).
