The test was easy if you study. I aced both the written and skills. Just practice, practice, practice! Go online to NY Prometric (they administer the test). You can print out each skill and the steps the examiners are grading you on. It was very helpful. Not everyone knows they offer this info :) I paid $1400+ in Manhattan. I felt it was a rip off! The starting salary for full time here is $30k in a hospital, plus I get a few thousand more for shift differential, I am in a union, have great benefits, etc. All in all, it was the best decision I have ever made. But it's not for everyone. Some of my co-workers are unhappy. I happen to like it. Hopefully you will too :)

Hi all,
I just want to know for those of u who lives in the NY area now long it took to get a job after certification? I start my class in July I'm desperate to get a job after. I have always worked in business industry but due to my autistic child I can no longer work that schedule. Any other info will be greatly appreciated
