Anyone know the summer nursing schedule for Georgia Highlands?

I am thinking about applying for the GHC Nursing program that starts in January (Spring). This means I would take Nursing1102 in the summer. Has anyone has taken this in the summer before??? Can you please tell me the what your schedule was? I know it changes every year, but I am just trying to get an idea! I am assuming since the course is only 2 months long...it is much different than a regular semester schedule. Thank you!!!!

Hi ang30189! I too am attending GHC. I have turned my application in to start this fall and am awaiting an acceptance or rejection letter. I have found that it is difficult to get students who know about the program at GHC to respond here....there may just not be a lot of us. The only thing I know about the accelerated program is that the application to start Spring of 2010 would be due this fall. Some of the instructors that I have talked to at GHC aren't too fond of the accelerated program because they say it doesn't give the students the summer "brain break" that they need. I know this probably doesn't help you much. How many classes do you have left to take before you can apply? It's good to hear from other people in the same chaos that I am in. :bugeyes:

Anyways, I too have been trying to find this out. I am applying for GHC Jan 2010 program as well. I have 3 young boys at home and it would be great to know what the schedule was so I could make arrangements ahead of time. If you have found out let me know. Of course who knows if I'll even get in or not! I just finished my ACt 2 weeks ago. That was fun ;)

i too am applying to the spring track and am wondering what general scores are for the program? off the old worksheet the scores ranged from 1200-1600 for those accepted last spring. My old score was a 1300 something, but now its only like a 900 something :(, im pretty pooped. im hoping that in comparison of 40 i do well. i know people on these threads tend to be "attics and brainiacs" lol...so i would say the people who reply on here have much higher scores. it be nice to know people trying to get in though! i to will have three kids by next summer, i have a 5 yr old boy 3 yr old girl and am expecting another boy in the fall. I have been looking for the same response as to what next summer will entail, i think its going to be rough lol. i wich i knew how to start a thread i really want to talk to people through the waiting process..apps r due by sept 15th!!!

Hey guys!!!!

I am actually in the program at GHC and I started 1101 in the Spring and am now in 1102 over the summer!!! It is wonderful, really busy and stressful but wonderful!!!!

We go to school mon-thurs from between 9-2 or 9-4 just depends.

Clinicals start next week..... but if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!!! good luck to you all;-)
