In missouri as a LPN i can say that it is paying alot less than what ive read others are making. $10.81 and thats after 1 year. i am a primary care nurse with 8 patients. the only medications i give is heparin and lidocane. i do monthly assessment notes with weekly progress notes. i love my job i get up early in the morning (or should i say middle of the night) and get home with enough time to go home cook dinner see my kids.
I'm guessing our unit pays LVN's close to $20 an hour. That's just a guess based on the fact that I was hired as a new grad RN at $21 which is $5 more an hour than the area hospitals pay. But it all depends upon the area you live in, I live in a small county that is rather rural with the county seat only having a population of about 28,000, I'm sure Dallas would pay more.
I searched and searched for salary information with my company before I took the job and could find none.
Good luck...

I could really use some help if anyone has any info on LVN's working in dialysis. Salary, job description, etc.
