I'm going to Deaconess College of Nursing for my PN license and I can't find a long term care facility in this area that would allow me to do 216 hours under the direction of an RN as a preceptor for Spring 2006. I have been on the phone all day and have been turned down by every nursing home under the sun! I didn't think it would be this hard to find someone to help.
If any of you have any ideas, please let me know. The 216 hours is during my last semester and then I can sit for the NCLEX-PN. I already have contracts for OB/PEDs rotations.
Thanks,
Marci
PS. I have been turned down by every hospital in Western PA, so those won't help.

What area of Western PA are you in?
I'm in Lawrence County. I'm trying to stay in the Mercer/Beaver/Butler/Lawrence counties area, but I will travel as far as Pittsburgh if I can find a place that will take me.
Thanks for your help.
