Anyone interviewing at UAB?

I have just received an invitation to interview at UAB and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the interview process there. How many applicants are interviewed? Is it a group or individual interview? Is it mainly clinical or personal questions? Thanks in advance for any information.

I have also just recieved my invitation! I do know someone in the program. They interview just over 100 applicants. There are 3 to 4 personal interviews that will last 15 to 20 minutes. I was told that they ask mainly questions about you. Why do you want to be a CRNA? Why UAB?

Have you applied any where else?

Congratulations on your interview as well!! I am hoping it will be more of a personal interview rather than tons of clinical questions. I have also applied to Samford and Medical College of Georgia, and you?

Hello, I am anxiously waiting on an interview letter for UAB. Which clinical site did you choose? I was told that the letters will not go out until January for the Mobile, Al and Jackson, MS sites.

I am interviewing for B'ham and Montgomery, Al sites.

I have only applied to UAB! Call me crazy, but this program has been going for almost 60 years. I am difinitely not knocking Samford. It carries a strong reputation also. I just want to go to UAB. I had considered other schools, but after visiting their campuses, I was just not excited about applying. As for Samford, I may apply next year if I don't get in this year at UAB!

Hmm..I never specified a site on my application, or atleast I don't recall doing so. I wonder what that will mean for me? I would only want B'ham. Maybe I should call the school to find out. :uhoh3:

I too am only applying at UAB and yes I have been called crazy. But this is where I really want to go; however, if I don't get in this year then I will probably apply to LSU next year as well as reapply to UAB. So since you got your interview letter last week when will you be interviewing? Just wondering how much time because I have heard that sometimes it is a week.
