ANYONE IN MICHIGAN HIRING NEW RNs???

Published

Hello- Does anyone know what hospitals/companies are hiring new RNs? I live in metro-detroit area and have applied to over 100 positions and nothing!! I have my BSN and license too...any help would be great!

Specializes in Step-down/ICU.

I applied to over 250 (over 4 months) before I got my 1st hospital job. Keep looking and working on ways to improve your cover letter/resume.

Could try nursing homes in your area and keep applying for the hospital positions. Its a tough economy and job hunt right now... good luck.

I am from metro Detroit and just graduated with an ADN. My classmates have been getting jobs places like Mt. Clemens Regional, St. John's Detroit and Oakland, Harper Hospital, and Henry Ford. I was an extern for a year before graduating so I got a job that way, but I would just keep applying, seems like there are positions for new grads.

Thanks for the input! :)

IDK if Pediatrics is for you, but DMC Childrens in Detroit needs a lot of nurses. They make (after midnight **** dif, and weekend pay) around 29 per hour... check into it...

Children's does not directly accept new graduates. They have to apply through a very competitive preceptorship program called "Transitions." You can find more info on it at dmc.org
