Anyone hear of UNITEK College?

Friend of mine pointed me to this Unitek College in Sacramento. I've been looking at Western Career College (Sacramento).

Unitek's LVN program is $29,995; WCC is $41,165.

Seems like the choice is clear, but I've never heard of Unitek, while WCC is well-known.

Your thoughts?

Like all private programs, both are too expensive, no matter what the quality of education. That kind of money should only be spent if there is no way to get your goals met through a public school program. JMHO.

Yes Ive heard of Unitek, though have noone I know personally who has graduated from there. I was interested in their LVN-RN program, but then seen its a whopping nearly $35,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I will do that by other means, but other than the price, which of course is pricey, I think its a good way to go w private... it saves grueling waiting time (wait list, lottery, programs too full), which I personally am too anxious and want to finish school and get on w. my career... good luck!

The LVN Program here in Sacto is $29,995. A couple of thousand cheaper than the East Bay, but still considerable.

Still, I HAVE the money and the time... LOVE that the program is 11 months! Everywhere else I've checked is 18 months. :uhoh3:

Good to know. I am an LVN and have been looking for an LVN to RN program. I didn't like WCC because of the price and because their clinicals are on weekends. I'll check out this Unitek joint.

Can anyone tell, if 12 students fail from a class of 37, whose fault is it? Lecture or students. Half of the students were who never failed in the class.
