I'm planning on returning to college full-time this Fall and wanted to take A&P I. However, BIO 110-general Biology, is a pre-requisite for that class. My college does offer a clep test for BIO 110 and I'm thinking of taking it to see if I can test out of that class. Has anyone on this board taken this clep test? If so, was it really hard?
I took all my Paramedic classes through the same college and we covered A LOT of general biology in those classes. I also took an A&P class which was required for my Paramedic License, but it doesn't transfer over to the nursing program. I think I have a pretty good background and would be able to pass the test with a little brush up studying, but just wanted to get some other opinions.
Thanks!

Hi there! About four years ago when I was in the military I took the General Biology CLEP. I passed and ended up getting 5 credits which I got to use as electives in my nursing program. I did not do any studying for the test, I just went in with what I remembered from High school. I personally thought the test was very easy but that was four years ago and I am sure it has changed some since then. I say go for it. If I can pass it, I am sure you can!! Good luck

welcome to the board and all the best to you.[color]
Thank you both for replying. I did stop by my local library and checked out some bio. books just to brush up! LOL! I figured it can't hurt me to get a little studying in before taking the test! Thanks again!
