Anyone ever have to Petition your State BNE with a Declaratory Order

Published

I am a Student my background showed a Misdemeanor, I am having to petition the BNE and do the Declaratory Order. It says it will take a minimum of 3-6 months. I am sick to my stomache, because I graduate in exactly 3 months. I had sent it off right at the beginning of the school year then realized, I sent in the wrong letters of Recommendation in, I got my Pastor and my past employer, but I then read since I was in school I was supposed to have sent my Instructors letters in, so I had to start all over again. Anyhow, because of time issues, I just now sent it in. It was for a NSF less then $500, (major screw up thanks to a divorce) never the less...

My question is, anyone here from Texas, have to File a Declatory Order, if so, how long did it take to get your response back?

Does anyone have any history with this process that they could share? I realize that it's a case by case decision that is up to the Board, but any success/failure stories would help form a picture of what's in store.

Thanks!!

This is actually a question for Texas nurses - I just saw that it was originally posted on the General Nursing Discussion board. Sorry!
