I'm just curious as to what they changed, what they kept. Like I know that HCA hospitals tend to use Meditech. If our current program is not Meditch, will they switch it? Any info would help.
Thanks

Oh yes, you will indeed face the "joys" of Meditech...HCA owns it so there is no way around it. And yes, it's a DOS based system. If you aren't old enough to know what DOS is, I suggest Googling it for some fun.

I have always referred to Meditech as a mobile home that once got an add-on room. And then another. And another. And another. And another. On and on it went, with no sensible plan to how these rooms ought to relate to one another or even thought to whether they ought to exist at all or maybe be part of a more modern, structurally sound building. So it goes, to this very day.

Meditech is the devil. However, if you can figure out how the demon works you can learn ANY computerized charting system.
